Beaucoup de jeunes sont partis de ce qui était autrefois une communauté prospère et fière, luttant pour conserver ses traditions. Les logements étant bon marché et surtout disponibles, elle est l’endroit idéal pour relocaliser les réfugiés syriens récemment accueillis par la Grande- Bretagne. Comment seront-ils accueillis ? Et quel sera l’avenir du dernier pub du village, le Old Oak ?

The story of a village in the Northeast of England, where the mine closed, and people feel deserted by the system. Many young ones have left and what was once a thriving, proud community struggles to keep old values alive. Houses are cheap and available making it an ideal place for the relocation of Syrian refugees that have been recently accepted by Britain. How will the Syrians be received? And what will be the future for the last remaining pub in the village, the Old Oak?
