Each edition is an unmissable event for film buffs! This year, the Dinard Festival of British & Irish Film will take place from 1st to 5th October 2025: five days of screenings, masterclasses and events celebrating the talent of our British & Irish friends.

The Festival’s reputation among cinephiles is ever-growing, thanks to its commitment to showcasing independent, arthouse and short films, thus offering the very best of British and Irish cinema.

At the 35th edition, under the presidency of Arielle Dombasle, accompanied by a professional jury, Ariane Labed’s film “September Says” stood out from the rest, winning the famous Hitchcock d’Or.

The films selected for this 35th edition are divided into five thematic sections: some tell stories, while others portray a history, and many address social issues, all while reflecting a wide variety of artistic and cultural perspectives.

Within these sections, 5 films will be selected for the official competition, where the prizes for Best Film, Best Performance and the Special Barrière Prize will be awarded by a renowned jury. Another parallel competition, “Talent of Tomorrow”, accompanied by Ouest-France, highlights the first films of young directors, rewarded by a Jury of 18 to 25 year-olds. Finally, a selection of short films, special screenings and screenings for young cinephiles are also on offer throughout the Festival.
