The next edition of the Dinard Festival of British & Irish Film dedicated to schools will take place from 12 to 16 October 2026, in the heart of Dinard.
Each year, the Dinard Festival of British & Irish Film devotes an entire week to school and university audiences. Designed especially for young viewers, from nursery school through to higher education, this key event offers an engaging and ambitious introduction to the very best of contemporary British and Irish cinema.
This unique event offers far more than a simple trip to the cinema: through powerful, accessible and thought-provoking stories, it opens a window onto the English language and the cultures of Britain and Ireland.
The festival is built around two main educational themes:
– film education, encouraging young audiences to discover, understand and experience cinema in new ways;
– an exploration of British and Irish culture in all its richness, diversity and contemporary relevance.
Practical workshops and encounters with film and cultural education professionals will complement the screenings, extending the experience beyond the cinema and supporting teachers in the development of their educational projects.
