Trois voleurs atypiques, menés par une femme au bord de la crise de nerfs, cambriolent un Credit Union irlandais. L’histoire démarre près ce braquage qui a mal tourné et revient sur les événements qui ont conduit à cette situation. Ce hold-up raté devient le portrait d'une femme déterminée prisonnière de son propre passé. Aontas traite des choix qui changent une vie, des moments où nous nous sentons piégés et de la prison que constituent les souvenirs.

Three unlikely thieves, led by a woman on the verge of a breakdown, rob a rural Irish Credit Union. Opening in the tragic aftermath of the heist-gone-wrong, the story uses reverse chronology to unravel the events that led to this point. What starts as a poorly executed robbery becomes a portrait of a wilful woman trapped in her own past. Aontas is about the choices that change our path, the moments we get trapped in, and how we are prisoners of our memories.
