Porté par un souffle de rébellion, Trad suit Shóna McAnally, jeune violoniste surdouée, qui fuit son Donegal natal et prend la route pour rejoindre une troupe de musiciens itinérants avec son petit frère. Commence alors une traversée du pays faite d'aventures, d'amours d'été et de découvertes musicales. Portée par un répertoire enthousiasmant mêlant musique traditionnelle et créations pleines de vitalité, Shóna se transforme : l'adolescente ombrageuse devient une femme déterminée et sûre d'elle, capable de s'approprier pleinement son héritage.

Capturing the mood of rebellion, Trad follows gifted young fiddle player Shóna McAnally as she escapes her Donegal home taking to the road with her little brother to join a troupe of wandering musicians. They then embark on a cross-country journey of adventure, summer romance, and musical exploration. With an exciting repertoire of traditional and vibrant new music along the way, Shóna evolves from an irritable teenager into a determined and confident woman able to freely inhabit her heritage.
